Choosing a good wedding Photographer

I have performed in many weddings and events, having the opportunity to observe how some photographers work. With so many photographers out there, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with the number of options. I am no professional in technicalities. But I know when something is good, when there is love in it.

Some are technically amazing, like a German car. They could say that they have the perfect light, angle and exposition. But 99% of people won’t know about that, and they don’t want to. They want to look at something that moves them. A picture where you can FEEL the emotions that it tried to capture, that where happening at that moment.

Many photographers don’t like to do weddings, they do it just because it brings in money. They probably thing there’s nothing artistic or creative in that. It is true that it might be difficult to do something “different” or creative when you have done 50 weddings and you see the same pattern again and again.

But, actually, that’s where the challenge is. For a couple, their wedding is unique, special. So a good photographer should capture that uniqueness in a unique way, even if it’s using the same technique.

Is finding the photographer who is passionate about weddings where you can’t go wrong.

Take your time to look at their work, take account of the way they respond to your emails, or better have a chat with them. Go with your feelings, your instinct. And don’t look for too long, there is no thing such a perfect photographer, but still he/she may take the perfect photographs!
